Chandigarh: Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has clarified on his statement that he will not allow his brother from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar to enter Punjab. Releasing the statement on Thursday, Channi said, “My statement is being misinterpreted. All the migrant laborers who have come to Punjab till date have worked hard and marched on the path of development. We have only love for him, no one can change that.”
Channi further said, “I was talking about people who come from outside and create disturbances here. In Punjab, all the people from UP-Bihar, Rajasthan and other places, who come and work here, are all ours. So it is not right to present it in any other way.”
I was talking about people who come from outside and create disruptions here. Punjab is as much of the people of UP-Bihar, Rajasthan and elsewhere, who come here & work, as much as it is ours.
