Mumbai: Under the COVID prevention campaign, the corona vaccine will start for children in the age group of 12 to 14 years in Mumbai from today. The BMC will start the vaccination from 12 noon on a two-day trial basis at 12 centers in Mumbai for vaccination. Vaccination will be started at all government centers along with BMC after reviewing the response and facilities for the vaccine at these centres.
Anti-coronavirus vaccination was started in Mumbai from January 16, 2021. In the first phase, priority was given to vaccinate patients above 60 years of age suffering from corona warriors and other diseases. All citizens above 18 years of age are being vaccinated from 1 May 2021 and all citizens above 15 years of age from 3 January 2022.

Children will get Carbavax vaccine
As per the BMC, beneficiaries born between January 1, 2008 to March 15, will be eligible for the vaccine. Beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years will be administered the Corbevax vaccine. The second vaccine will be administered at an interval of 28 days after the first vaccination. The central government is making necessary changes in the covin system. This facility will be available at all the vaccination centers of BMC after the change in the Kovin system on Wednesday morning. Beneficiaries who have not completed 12 years of age can also be registered for vaccination. At present, parents have been informed that those children who have completed 12 years of age should be brought to the vaccination center.
After the study of 12 pilot vaccination centers, the cooperation of the vaccination centers, schools, social organizations, boards etc. will be taken in the BMC area. All children in the age group of 12 to 14 years who will be included in the vaccination.
