Chandigarh: There has been a ruckus in the country over the security lapse of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Bharatiya Janata Party has blamed the Congress party and the Punjab government for the lapse in the security of the PM. Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has given his reaction on the allegation made by BJP. He said that, “I had no idea that Prime Minister Modi would go to the rally venue by road.”
Talking to a private news channel Channi said, “There is no security lapse. I was watching the security arrangements for his rally late last night. The PM’s road travel was planned at the last minute, he had to first travel by helicopter. However, CM Channi said, 70,000 chairs were set up for the PM’s rally but only 700 people came.”
