Raipur. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has asked the health department to conduct an audit of deaths due to corona virus infection in the state. Officials gave this information on Friday. State Public Relations Department officials said that Chief Minister Baghel expressed concern over the sudden increase in the number of deaths of infected patients.
Officials said that after 15 people died in the state on Thursday due to the infection, the Chief Minister directed the Principal Secretary of the Health Department to conduct an audit of each case. The Chief Minister has also asked senior administrative officers to prevent infection and provide better medical facilities to the infected.
Officials said that in view of the health condition of the infected patients, Baghel has also directed to ensure the arrangements for hospitalization and continuous monitoring of the health of the patients under treatment in home isolation. The Chief Minister has asked all the District Magistrates of the state to take special vigilance and ensure strict adherence to the COVID-19 guidelines.
According to the Health Department data, 82 patients died of infection during the last 10 days. Till Thursday, 10,81,178 people have been confirmed infected in the state, out of which 10,35,745 people have become infection free. 31,736 patients are under treatment in the state and a total of 13,697 people have died due to infection.
