Mumbai: CBI investigation is going on in the case of recovery of Rs 100 crore. In this episode, the CBI has recorded the statements of 7 police officers on Friday. These policemen were posted under the protection of former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, who was surrounded by charges of extortion, when Deshmukh was the Home Minister of Maharashtra. Deshmukh is currently lodged in jail in a money laundering case. He was arrested by the ED.
Let us tell you that this money laundering case is related to the alleged extortion gang in Maharashtra Police Establishment. In fact, Deshmukh did not appear on at least five summons issued by the ED in the case, the High Court refused to quash these summons. After this he appeared before the agency and after a long interrogation he was arrested.

On Friday, the Bombay High Court said that the ED’s adjudicating authority in the money laundering case, former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh. and his wife Aarti Deshmukh for temporary confiscation of property and also pass final orders, but he should not take any coercive action in this regard till January 10.
A division bench of Justice Gautam Patel and Justice Madhav Jamdar directed the ED to file a counter-affidavit on Aarti Deshmukh’s plea challenging the agency’s order of temporary attachment of her properties in the money laundering case. In the petition, Aarti Deshmukh has claimed that, she is not against hearing for temporary attachment of her properties, but the agency is not following the law in this regard.
