- Crime branch action near Tekdi village of Mool Tehsil
Chandrapur. The local crime branch has succeeded in busting an inter-state group carrying cattle in containers from Gadchiroli district to a slaughterhouse in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh state. This action was taken by stopping 2 containers coming from Gadchiroli near Tekdi village of the original tehsil. At present, five smugglers have been arrested. In this case, 48 cattle have been freed. All the cattle have been sent to the Gaushala.
Cattle are taken on a large scale in the slaughterhouses of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh state adjoining Chandrapur district. At the time of smuggling, they are filled more than capacity in the vehicle. Cattle smugglers smuggle cattle through various routes in Chandrapur district. The police department got information about smuggling of cattle in containers from Gadchiroli to Andhra Pradesh via the original tehsil of Chandrapur district. To curb these smuggling, District Police Superintendent Arvind Salve had given instructions for action. According to this, the local Crime Branch Police Inspector Balsaheb Khade prepared a special team and kept an eye on the smugglers of animals.
10 wheeled trucks and 12 wheelbarrow trucks are being smuggled from Gadchiroli district. According to secret information, LCB PI Khade along with associate officers and employees laid a trap near Tekdi village of Mool Tehsil. Seeing both the trucks coming, both the trucks were stopped and investigated in a field in Tekdi village and they were taken into custody.
The police arrested Gajanan Sayanna Pedapure 27, resident of Deglur Koteklur in Nanded district, Mohd Ali Ajgar Ali Syed 56, native Tekadi of Chandrapur district, Zakir Ibrahim Khan 29, resident of Jangemul in Ikharabad district of Telangana state, Mohd Nadim Mohammad Ayub 23, resident of Banat in Sambali. After registering a crime against Nitesh Jangidar Yadav, resident of Bhavani Bigh in Nalanda district, he has been arrested.
