The 15-year-old Boston boy who was killed within the snowboarding accident at Pats Peak over the weekend was “a kind and caring person who brought joy to everyone he met.”
Christopher DiPrima has been recognized because the Boston teenager who died following the incident at New Hampshire’s Pats Peak on Saturday night.
DiPrima attended Excel Academy High School in East Boston.
“Excel Academy grieves the loss of our student, Christopher DiPrima, who died in a skiing accident this weekend,” Excel Academy Charter Schools stated in a press release.
“Christopher was a 10th grader at XLHS and graduated from XLGW in 2021,” Excel added. “Christopher was a kind and caring person who brought joy to everyone he met. He will be truly missed.”
The accident occurred on the Duster Ski Trail at round 6:35 p.m. on Saturday.
The Pats Peak Ski Patrol arrived on the scene shortly after the accident, and so they introduced the boy to the bottom space — the place the Henniker, N.H., Rescue Squad was ready for him.
DiPrima was handled at Concord Hospital, and he was later pronounced lifeless.
“This is a devastating loss,” Rita DiPrima Gingras, the boy’s aunt, wrote on Facebook. “He was 15 and an outstanding young man.”

Wachusett Ski patrol responded to an incident involving a 67-year-old male skier at round 9:25 a.m. final Monday. The skier had reportedly struck a tree, and the person was discovered unresponsive by one other skier who was passing by.
Wachusett ski patrollers introduced the person to the underside of the mountain and offered emergency care to him earlier than handing his care over to first responders. The man was later pronounced lifeless.
