Mumbai: Omicron has increased the tension in Mumbai, which was one of the most affected cities during the Corona wave in the country. After the ever-increasing COVID case in Mumbai, BMC has started its preparations. BMC has started preparations to prevent the spread of Corona virus and Omicron.
A report quoted a senior BMC official as saying that, recently, its officers have been instructed to strictly implement the guidelines set by the state and central government. Keeping this in mind, the BMC has asked its ward-level officers’ teams to keep a watch on parties and gatherings at the Chowpatties of Mumbai in view of the new year.

A report by Free Press General quoted the official as saying that, BMC has formed teams that will keep a watch on Girgaum Chowpatty, Gateway of India, Dadar Chowpatty, Bandra Bandstand and Juhu Chowpatty along with the local police and check violations. Will take strict action against those. “Our ward level teams will also keep an eye on restaurants and parties to see if the guests and organizers who arrived are following the guidelines issued by the administration,” he added.
In addition, the BMC plans to vaccinate 9 lakh children between 15-18 years. Children will be vaccinated at BMC as well as at private immunization centers. BMC will also take help from junior colleges for vaccination for which BMC has trained 1,500 of its employees.
