Dehradun: Bharatiya Janata Party has released its manifesto for Uttarakhand elections. It was released by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in a program organized in Dehradun. Renaming its manifesto as ‘Drishti Patra’, BJP has announced to provide three cylinders free of cost every year under the Ujjwala scheme. Along with this, increasing old age pension to Rs.36 hundred, giving 50 thousand government jobs is also included.
Releasing the BJP’s vision paper, the Union Minister said, “I want to assure all of you that we will complete the Char Dham Highway by this December… The development work you have seen in the state is just a trailer. ” In this program organized at the BJP headquarters, Uttarakhand BJP President Madan Kaushik, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi, former Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat, Trivendra Singh Rawat, former Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, and leaders of the Central and State BJP were present.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “Today we have launched our manifesto (Drishti Patra) for the state elections. We will give 3 free LPG cylinders to the poor in a year. 40 thousand rupees will be given to pregnant women living in hilly areas. Pension of senior citizens will be increased to Rs 3600.
He further said, “We will make it stricter by amending the law of ‘love jihad’, which also includes a provision of rigorous imprisonment of 10 years. We will give 50,000 government jobs to the youth… This ‘Drishti Patra’ is a vision to make the state self-reliant and developed.”
