The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday released its manifesto for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Former BJP President and Union Home Minister Amit Shah released the party’s manifesto under the name ‘Lok Kalyan Sankalp-Patra’. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister Anurag Thakur, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma, State BJP President Swatantra Dev Singh and Sankalp Patra Committee President and Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna were also present on the occasion.
This manifesto of the BJP was to be released on February 6 only but that program was postponed due to the death of ‘Bharat Ratna’ singer Lata Mangeshkar. The Home Minister also released a new election song of BJP by pressing the button.
Issues of ‘Love Jihad’ and Ramayana University also included
In the new resolution letter of the BJP, mainly those guilty of alleged ‘love jihad’ should be punished for at least 10 years and a fine of one lakh rupees, Ramayana for research on cultural and religious facts related to Lord Ram in Ayodhya It has been promised to establish a university and to organize the Maha Kumbh of the year 2025 with world class facilities.
Free electricity for irrigation to farmers
Apart from this, in the manifesto, to provide free electricity for irrigation to farmers for the next five years, to operate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Agricultural Infrastructure Mission at a cost of Rs 25,000 crore, to renew sugar mills under the Mission for Renewal of Sugarcane Mills at a cost of 5000 crores and It has been promised to modernize, develop six mega food parks in the state and provide boats up to Rs 1 lakh to fishermen at 40 percent subsidy by launching the Nishad Raj Board subsidy scheme.
BJP has said that over the years, it will further strengthen the purchase of wheat and paddy at MSP. Also, the payment will be made to the sugarcane farmers within 14 days and in case of delay, interest will be paid to the sugarcane farmers by charging interest from the mills. Commitment has been made to double the income of every person, promising to bring Uttar Pradesh’s economy to the first place.
Promise for women from free cylinder to scooty
Apart from this, a promise has been made to give free scooty to meritorious girl students under Rani Laxmibai Yojna, increase the assistance given under Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000.
Also in the manifesto as well as giving two free LPG cylinders on Holi and Deepawali to all the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, providing free travel facility in public transport to women above 60 years of age, increasing the pension of widows and destitute women. One and a half thousand rupees per month has also been promised. Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Anudan Yojana has been promised to provide financial assistance up to 1 lakh.
Primary school will be developed as smart school
In the manifesto, to develop primary schools as smart schools, to establish at least one university in every division, to include the life stories of all great men and freedom fighters in the educational curriculum and to fill up vacant posts in all government departments soon. It has also been resolved to fill up at the earliest. Amit Shah said that will provide free coaching to the aspiring youth for competitive exams like UPSC, UPPSC, NDA. One ITI will be established in each block.
Apart from this, setting up of gym and playground in every gram panchayat, arranging cricket training in every development block and setting up of academy for various sports in the state, appointment of yoga teachers at school and college level, Rs 30,000 crore in the state. It also promised to set up six Dhanwantri Mega Health Parks at a cost of Rs.
Promise of three crore new jobs
The BJP promised three crore new jobs in the next five years, including one for each family. The party said that by doubling the per capita income, we will make Uttar Pradesh the number one economy of the state. The party further said that it would set up the Lata Mangeshkar Institute of Performing Arts.
Under this, folk dance, music and theater will be encouraged. Cash incentive of up to Rs 2 crore, electricity, subsidy and tax subsidy will be given to promote Hindi, Bhojpuri, Awadhi and Braj language films to be shot in the state. It has been promised to provide at least employment or self-employment opportunity to every family in the next 5 years.
Amit Shah praised Yogi government
On this occasion, Home Minister Amit Shah said that five years ago at this place, BJP had placed a document of development of Uttar Pradesh in front of the public in the form of its resolution letter. Today I can say with great satisfaction that the last five years have been years of development and achievements in every field in the state and during this the foundation of the future of Uttar Pradesh was laid.
He claimed that during the last five years, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his government have worked to make politics completely free from criminalisation. At the same time, Uttar Pradesh has also been freed from the politicization of the administration. Because of this, we were able to fulfill all the promises of our Sankalp Patra.
