Dehradun: Before the Uttarakhand elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has suffered a major setback. Tehri MLA Dhan Singh Negi has left the party and stopped the suppression of the Congress. Negi joined the Congress in the presence of former Chief Minister Harish Rawat. After which Congress has also declared him as its candidate from here.
It is to be known that, this morning, former state president of Congress Kishor Upadhyay has joined BJP. After which it is being said that he will contest from Tehri. At the same time, Negi was continuously opposing Upadhyay. The MLA had announced that, if BJP gave ticket to Kishor Upadhyay, he would join the Congress.

There was talk of joining Congress
Negi started talking for himself in the Congress amid discussions about Kishore Upadhyay joining the BJP. He was constantly in touch with the Congress state leadership, while on the other hand the BJP leadership was also demanding a ticket from Tehri.
Voting will be held on February 14
Voting for 70 assembly seats in Uttarakhand will be held on February 14 and results will be declared on March 10. At present, there is a BJP government in Uttarakhand. In the last election, BJP had won 57 seats and got 47 percent votes. Whereas Congress won 11 seats and got 33.8 percent votes. Independents became 2 MLAs and got 10 percent votes.
