Lucknow : SP Chief and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Monday with a resolve to fight an all-out battle with the BJP for the power of Uttar Pradesh. Nominated from Karhal assembly seat. At the same time, BJP has fielded Union Minister SP Singh Baghel as its candidate from Karhal Assembly. Soon after Akhilesh’s nomination, Baghel also filed his nomination.
It is worth mentioning that SP Baghel has also contested in the 2009 by-election from Firozabad against Akhilesh Yadav and against Dimple Yadav. During this, he also contested against Akshay Yadav from Firozabad in the year 2014. Not only this, SP Singh Baghel has been the security officer of Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Earlier the discussion was going on that BJP is considering giving ticket to Aparna Yadav against Akhilesh Yadav. Not only this, Aparna Yadav broke her silence on this whole matter and said that if the party asks, she will also contest from Karhal seat of Mainpuri. She had said that I am serving the people in Lucknow Cantt. If the party says so, I will contest against Akhilesh Bhaiya also. The party will decide what to do. But now BJP has given ticket to Union Minister SP Singh Baghel and has put a stop to all speculations for the time being.
On the other hand, SP chief and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav filed his nomination from Karhal assembly seat on Monday. Akhilesh Yadav reached the collectorate riding a pink colored Vijay chariot. This chariot was first worshiped in the Hanuman temple, after that Akhilesh from his native village Saifai rode on it and left for Karhal of Mainpuri.
Akhilesh Yadav was given a warm welcome from place to place
Akhilesh Yadav was accorded a warm welcome at a distance of about 30 km from Saifai to Karhal. The SP president, riding on a pink colored Vijay Chariot, shook hands and greeted the public. Akhilesh’s chariot reached Mainpuri Collectorate at around one o’clock due to the crowd gathered on the roads amidst a convoy of hundreds of vehicles. There were elaborate police arrangements to control the crowd. Shobhan Singh, who had contested on SP ticket from Karhal on Akhilesh’s victory chariot, also rode. Apart from this, Tej Pratap, former MP and nephew of Akhilesh, also rode in Vijay’s chariot.
On this occasion, Akhilesh Yadav said that in view of the busy schedule of the assembly elections, he could not devote much time to Etawah and Mainpuri at present. She has full confidence from the people of the area that she will allow them to go to other areas to form the government in the state. Voting is to be held on February 20 in the third phase of elections in Karhal. Congress has fielded Gyanvati Yadav and BSP has fielded Kuldeep Narayan from this seat.
