Apart from this, 17 investors have taken initiative to open medical colleges in public private partnership (PPP) model in nine districts of the state. In the field of medical equipment manufacturing, big investors are investing in many districts of the state.

Under this, he sent a proposal to the Central Government for the construction of a medical device park in the state and decided to open a medical college in every district of the state. With this decision of the Chief Minister, private sector investors showed interest in investing in the health sector. Under which 17 business groups took initiative in opening and running medical colleges on PPP model in nine districts of the state. These medical colleges are to be opened with the help of the centre. In this sequence, nine medical colleges have been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While 14 other medical colleges have been approved, the foundation stone of many has also been laid.

The Medical Education Department has received a total of 17 proposals from the private sector for medical colleges in the districts of Baghpat, Hathras, Rampur, Sambhal, Shamli, Maharajganj, Kasganj, Mau, Shravasti. In this, applications have been made in all three categories. Maximum three proposals have been received in Hathras and Sambhal. While two proposals each have come in Baghpat, Rampur, Shamli and Kasganj. Single proposals have been received in the rest of the districts. Whereas in Chitrakoot, Ballia, Bhadohi, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Mainpuri, Sant Kabir Nagar districts, the department is still awaiting proposals.
Establishment of Medical Device Park in Noida got the approval of the Central Government
According to the officials of the Medical Education Department, the land in the first category and the entire investment will be from the private sector. In the second category, the land and building of the medical college will be owned by the investor while the hospital will be government and in category C both the medical college building and the hospital will be government, but the operation will be done by the private sector. The state government will give financial and non-financial assistance. An interest subsidy of five percent will be given on the cost for five years, subject to a maximum of one crore per annum. Similarly, in order to make Uttar Pradesh a big hub in the field of medical equipment manufacturing soon, the approval of the Central Government has been received for the establishment of a Medical Device Park in Noida. Action is being taken in Noida regarding the construction of this park, apart from this, the government has also taken several decisions for the manufacture of medicines. Due to which it has been decided to bring a new pharmaceutical policy by amending the pharmaceutical policy made in the year 2018 in the state. With the amendments to be made in this new policy, the government has initiated companies manufacturing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) as raw materials to come to UP. Soon, big pharmaceutical companies of the country and abroad working in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing will come to UP. And the dependence on China for import of raw material of medicines will be reduced and UP will become self-reliant in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing. This is the result of the efforts made by the state government to improve the health sector, due to which NITI Aayog is praising the state government and big investors are also coming forward to establish medical colleges.
