Chandrapur, Farmers grow crops in the fields in two such seasons Kharif and Rabi in the district. Paddy is mainly grown in Kharif in most of the tehsils of the district. Because of this, the district is referred to as a rice bowl. But 25 percent of Chimur tehsil. Farmers have prepared for summer paddy production this year in addition to two seasons, Kharif and Rabi. Which is named as Bhandara pattern.
Now the fields are empty after the harvesting of Rabi crops. That’s why now the farmers were thinking about which crop to take during the summers. Taking a solution to this, now this new experiment is being done in Chimur tehsil. Due to which there is every possibility of reducing the evidence of farmer suicides along with increasing the crop yield of the farmers.
The maximum production of paddy in Vidarbha is in Bhandara district. Paddy is cultivated two to three times in a year in Bhandara. On the same lines, now paddy is being cultivated again in Chimur tehsil. Earlier, many farmers did not take any crop after the Kharif crop due to lack of irrigation facilities. But now due to the availability of irrigation facilities to the farmers of Chimur tehsil, farmers of the tehsil are now trying to produce paddy during summers.
In this way, for the third time in a year, farmers will get an increase in their income by taking the crop. Because in the Kharif season, excessive rainfall had caused huge loss to the farmers. The time when the crop was ready to be harvested. At the same time, there was heavy loss to the farmers due to excessive rain. Apart from this, due to unseasonal rain and hailstorm during Rabi, there has been loss of crop in the hands of farmers. But now this year farmers have started preparing for summer paddy. Due to which the farmers are likely to be compensated for this loss and farmers will be able to produce paddy twice a year by the Bhandara pattern.
