new Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party’s (Aam Admi Party) CM candidate Bhagwant Mann will take oath as the Chief Minister on Wednesday in the Punjab Assembly Elections 2022. Mann will take oath as the Chief Minister of the state at 11.30 am in the presence of party convener Arvind Kejriwal and all the MLAs at Khatkar Kalan, the native village of Bhagat Singh.
According to ANI, Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi has not been invited to the function. The swearing-in ceremony will be your exclusive event. According to AAP sources, apart from Kejriwal, no other chief minister will be present at the swearing-in ceremony. Apart from this, no Union Minister or any big leader of national level has been invited for the swearing-in ceremony.

Only AAP leaders and party leaders from Punjab will attend the function. In addition, several artists from Punjab have been invited to the festival. Arrangements have been made for hundreds of people at Khatkar Kalan for the ceremony on 100 acres of land. In a video message released earlier, Mann had invited the people of the state for his swearing-in ceremony. He urged men to wear ‘basanti’ (yellow turban) and women to wear ‘yellow’ dupatta for the ceremony.

Significantly, Mann is mostly seen wearing a yellow turban, he is identified as Bhagat Singh. AAP had registered a landslide victory in the recently concluded Punjab Assembly elections. AAP has won 92 seats in this election. The Congress had won 18 seats in the 117-member assembly. Mann, who is contesting from Dhuri assembly constituency in Sangrur district, won by a margin of 58,206 votes over Congress’s Dalveer Singh Goldie.
Born in 1973 in Satoj village of Sangrur, Mann started his career as a comedian. He started his political career in 2011 with the Punjab People’s Party led by Manpreet Singh Badal. In 2012 he contested from Lahargaga constituency but was unsuccessful. Later, he joined AAP in 2014 and successfully contested from Sangrur Lok Sabha seat.
