Varanasi: After the state-of-the-art parking of Godaulia and Maidagin, now Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate Beniyabagh Parking and Park to the public. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s plan to rid Kashi from jam has taken shape. Beniyabagh and Maidagin are very close to the religious and business places of Varanasi, but till now there was no organized parking in this area. Due to which tourists and businessmen often got stuck in the jam.
With the creation of an underground parking spot in Beniyabagh ground, the vehicles of tourists coming from the country and abroad and traders coming from Purvanchal will be able to park safely. There will also be a multipurpose ground where helicopters can also be landed if needed.
Construction of Park and Underground Parking lot at a cost of 90.42 Crore
Park and underground parking lot has been constructed at Beniyabagh at a cost of 90.42 crores. The 16,500 square meter Beniyabagh underground parking lot can accommodate 470 four wheelers and 130 two wheelers. In the construction of the parking, care has also been taken for the increasing number of vehicles in the future. The state-of-the-art parking is provided with a hydraulic shaft car parking system. Due to which two cars can be parked. A beautiful park has been constructed on 13.5 acres over the underground parking.

Smart City GM Dr. D. Vasudevan told that national level football players have emerged from the Beniyabagh ground. Keeping this in mind, a football field has been kept. Beautiful landscaping has been done in the park. There is a Judo Practice Area, Open Gym, Chess Garden, Amusement Area i.e. park with many entertainment facilities. There will be a walk-way, water sports venue, attractive swing for children to play, food court, flower court apart from boating in the water body. Provision has also been made for Open Air Theatre, Yoga Garden, Vending Zone, Old Age Zone. Sensory Park has been created. Due to which visually impaired people will be able to enjoy various flowers and other things of nature with fragrance and touch.

This type of garden will be unique in itself in Uttar Pradesh. Beniyabagh Park is being developed as the central park of the district, which will be a landmark of the city. The parking work which started in March 2020 has been completed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the Beniyabagh parking lot on 23 December during his possible visit to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi.
