But Italy’s dictator Benito Mussolini Dictator, a friend of Hitler, was far more cruel than that. He killed millions of people who spoke against him and he started fascism. Mussolini ruled Benito Mussolini of Italy for 20 years between 1922 and 1943 with his ruthlessness and brutality. Mussolini became a teacher, then a soldier, followed by a journalist and then an autocratic dictator of Italy.
In the Second World War, Benito Mussolini fought the biggest battle in the history of the world, with Hitler (Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler’s Relationship) as his ally. Britannica Encyclopaedia states that Mussolini, born on 29 July 1882 in the village of Pradapio, Italy, became a teacher at the age of 18. Then at the age of 19, he fled Italy and went to Switzerland and started working there. Returning from Switzerland, Mussolini enlisted in the Italian Army and worked as a soldier for some time. Then he left the army and returned to his home and became a journalist taking part in the Socialist movement.
Became editor of mouthpiece ‘Awanti’
In the year 1912, he became the editor of the Socialist Party mouthpiece ‘Awanti’. The first world war started in the year 1914. Mussolini was of the opinion that Italy should not side with Britain and France in this war. Due to this thinking, he was removed from the post of editor of ‘Awanti’ (Benito Mussolini Government). And with this Mussolini was also removed from the Socialist Party. After being expelled from the newspaper and the Socialist Party, on 23 March 1919 Mussolini formed a new political party ‘Fasi-the-Kambattimanti’.
Ex-servicemen joined the party
The same people were included in this party, who agreed with the idea that in the first world war, Italy should have fought together with France and Britain. Most of the ex-servicemen joined this party. During this time the Socialist Party had become weak and ex-servicemen were becoming unemployed. Corruption was increasing in Italy (Benito Mussolini and Fascism). Due to these reasons, Mussolini’s strength continued to increase. On 30 October 1922, Mussolini’s party got a chance to occupy Rome due to the neutralization of the Italian government army.
Mussolini becomes Prime Minister of Italy
In Italy, such circumstances were created that Prime Minister Luigi Fata resigned and Mussolini became Prime Minister of Italy (Benito Mussolini Becomes Prime Minister of Italy). It is said that after this, Mussolini attacked Abyssinia in 1935 and after this the ground of the second world war started getting ready. Hitler and Mussolini had already formed an alliance. Italy and Germany were on one side in the second world war, while Britain and France were fighting on the other side. When this fight escalated, later the rest of the country also joined both camps. Hitler initially won, but was later defeated.
Resigned from his post
Due to the defeat in the second world war, by 25 July 1943, such conditions were created that Mussolini had to resign from the post of Prime Minister and then he was arrested (Benito Mussolini Biography). According to a report, Mussolini was rescued within two months of his arrest in September 1943 by his friend Hitler and made head of a kingdom in the north of Italy. When the second world war started, Mussolini had said that if I step out of the battlefield, shoot me.
Mussolini ran towards Switzerland
When the Second World War was on the verge of ending in April 1945, the forces of the Soviet Union and Poland captured Berlin. When the news of German armies laying arms reached Mussolini, he escaped to Switzerland with his girlfriend Claretta and the rest of his 16 companions. Then he went to a town named Dogo and killed the rebels. All 18 people, including Benito Mussolini, his girlfriend Claretta, were shot near Lake Como. On the morning of April 29, 1945, the bodies of all of them were dumped at the Piazzale Loreto Square in the city of Milan.
People get angry on the corpse
This was the same intersection where Mussolini brutally murdered 15 of his rebels about 8 months ago. Ray Mozli wrote in his book (The Last 600 Days of Deutsche) that as the news of Mussolini’s death spread, an uncontrolled angry mob of about 5,000 people gathered at Piazza Loreto Chowk. Has gone. One of the women in this mob was so angry that he shot 5 bullets in the head of Mussolini’s dead body and said that he has avenged the death of his 5 children.
Corpses hanged upside down on the square
The feeling of anger among the people was that another woman put urine in front of everyone with a pillow of Benito Mussolini on the sieve face. Then another woman brought a whip in her hand and started beating Mussolini’s corpse badly. Another person from the same crowd tried to put a dead mouse in his mouth. Mussolini’s entire face was covered in blood and his mouth was open. Luciano Garibaldi, referring to this dreadful scene, wrote in his book ‘Mussolini the Secret of His Death’ that the scorching crowd of hatred had climbed over all these 18 corpses and Was crushed by his feet. After this, the corpses of Mussolini, his love interest Claretta and four of his other associates were hung upside down on the square.
