New Delhi: In Uttar Pradesh, Brahmin leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) met party president JP Nadda on Monday. A day earlier, these leaders had held discussions to mobilize the votes of the community in their favor in the state. Assembly elections are to be held in Uttar Pradesh early next year.
Various issues related to this community were discussed in detail in the meeting with Nadda. Earlier, over a dozen Brahmin leaders of the BJP from Uttar Pradesh held a meeting on Sunday at the residence of the party’s election in-charge and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the state to chalk out a strategy to reach out to the community members.

According to sources, the party has formed a committee to reach out to Brahmin members of the community, whose members are BJP’s chief whip in Rajya Sabha Shiv Pratap Shukla, party leader Abhijit Mishra, former national secretary and Gujarat MPs Ram Bhai Mokaria and Mahesh Sharma. .
Brahmin leaders including Union Minister Ajay Mishra will reach out to the community members in their respective areas of the state. Mishra’s son has been arrested in Lakhimpur Kheri violence. Assembly elections are due in Uttar Pradesh early next year.
