New Delhi: Today is the birthday of Neeraj Chopra Birthday, the athlete who brought India’s name in the Tokyo Olympics. Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics, after which he came to be known as the Golden Boy.
Neeraj Kumar has fulfilled the athlete medal for which the country was dreaming for 121 years. He turned this dream of the country into reality by throwing Javelin away. The country already had high hopes before he went to the Olympics. Which he also completed.
private life
Neeraj Chopra was born in Panipat district of Haryana. He was born in the year 1997 in the house of a farmer in a small village Khandra. Neeraj did his early studies from Panipat. After completing his early studies, he took admission in a BBA college in Chandigarh. From there he did his graduation.

Javelin started due to obesity
Neeraj was very fat in his childhood, due to which he was blown away. Due to his obesity, his family also used to be very upset. So his uncle started taking him to the stadium to run from the age of 13. However, his mind was not in the race. But, when he went to the stadium, he saw other players throwing javelin there, after which he got interested in the game. From there he started playing javelin throw. After which he won the gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics.
Joined Army in 2016
Neeraj won gold in the 2016 IAAF World U-20 Championship in Poland by throwing 86.48 meters of javelin. Pleased with this, the Army appointed him as a Naib Subedar as a Junior Commissioned Officer in the Rajputana Regiment. Players are rarely appointed as officers in the army, but Neeraj is one of those people who have been made direct officers due to his talent.
