New Delhi: The pace of Omicron Updates, the new variant of Coronavirus Pandemic in the country, has now slowed down. The total number of cases in India has crossed 200. Like Corona, the orgy of Omicron continues in Maharashtra. Maximum 65 cases have been reported here. There are a total of 57 cases in the capital Delhi. In view of the increasing pace of new variants, states and union territories have started imposing restrictions before Christmas and New Year.
It should be noted that earlier, amid the increasing cases of Omicron, the Central Government has written a letter to the states and union territories instructing them to take strict steps to prevent infection. Also, Omicron has been described as more dangerous than Delta.

It is noteworthy that in view of the threat of Omicron, some states have imposed restrictions. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has extended the Corona restrictions till December 31. Along with this, DDMA has also banned social and cultural gatherings during Christmas- New Year. In Delhi, 50 percent of the people are allowed to go to the stores and pubs.
On the other hand, if we talk about Maharashtra, more cases have been registered here than all over the country. Due to which the government has banned from 16-31 December under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). Only fully vaccinated people in the state are allowed to travel in shops or on public transport. The seating capacity in the indoor area has been kept up to 50 percent.
In Karnataka too, all public gatherings have been banned due to the Omicron crisis. Along with this, in UP-Bengal also, the government has imposed some restrictions as a precaution. Although there are cases of Omicron in Rajasthan, no ban has been imposed by the government on the celebration of Christmas and New Year.
