Mumbai: BJP leader Ashish Shelar has hit back at the Maha Vikas Aghadi government of the state along with thanking the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Chairman of the Legislative Council and the Deputy Speaker for withdrawing the suspension of 12 MLAs. He said that we have to fight a judicial battle to cancel the suspension done in an unconstitutional manner. The decision of the court has resulted in the defeat of dictatorship and victory of democracy. The decision of the Supreme Court has also exposed the arrogance of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government of the state.
MLA and former minister Shelar rejected the claims of the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, the Speaker of the Legislative Council and the Deputy Speaker in the Journalist Council held at the Mumbai BJP office, saying that the Supreme Court had given an opportunity to the Maharashtra Legislature in the suspension case of 12 BJP MLAs. But the legislature did not notice it and lost the opportunity. The arrogance of Mahavikas Aghadi has been exposed in this whole matter.

Court termed the resolution passed in the assembly as illegal, irrational and unconstitutional
Shelar emphasized that the Supreme Court in its judgment has termed the resolution passed in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly as illegal, irrational and unconstitutional. Therefore, there is a need to bring clarity on the allegations of the legislature. He said that the Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly has met the President along with the Chairman and Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Council. Under which the President has been asked to reference the Supreme Court’s decision to a larger bench, but I want to clarify here that the Supreme Court has mentioned the Rajaram Pal case in its decision. He said that the decision of Rajaram case was given by a five-judge bench and in the UP reference case by a seven-judge bench in the year 1965. Shelar also rejected that claim of the Deputy Speaker. In which he said that this is the first such case in 70 years.
