Pimpri: At the mouth of the election, ‘leakage’ has started in the ruling BJP of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Devendra Fadnavis called up the disgruntled corporators of the BJP to not make a hasty decision to leave the party. Despite this, this ‘leakage’ persists. After Moshi’s corporator Vasant Borate, Pimple Gurav Vaidu Basti’s corporator Chanda Lokhande, Pimple Nilakh’s corporator Tushar Kamthe, who exposed many cases of corruption in the Municipal Corporation, has resigned from the post of BJP corporator.
In the autocluster of Chinchwad, Kamthe resigned from the post of corporator after meeting the municipal commissioner Rajesh Patil. He has spoken about the arbitrariness of BJP’s ‘in charge’ MLAs and resigning due to Hitler’s rule. He has also alleged that there has been a lot of looting in the Municipal Corporation in the last five years. Nationalist Congress Party City President Ajit Gawane, Chief Spokesperson Yogesh Behl, Leader of Opposition in Municipal Corporation Raju Misal, Former City President Sanjog Wagher Patil, Senior Corporator Nana Kate, Mayur Kalate etc. were present at the time of his resignation. However, this is the third ‘wicket’ of the ruling BJP after Ajit Gawane took over the Nationalist Congress Party. Another 15 corporators of BJP are in line to join the Nationalist Congress Party.

Till now three corporators have resigned from BJP
The tenure of the existing corporators of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is going to end on March 13. After this, the appointment of an administrator in the Municipal Corporation is irrevocable. If you leave the party before this, legal action can be taken, due to which there may be a ban on contesting elections. Keeping this in mind, the disgruntled corporators of BJP are preferring to resign. There is a claim of ‘mega’ recruitment of corporators in the Nationalist Congress Party next week. So far, three corporators have resigned from the BJP, out of which Vasant Borate has joined the NCP. Tushar Kamthe is the third corporator after Chanda Lokhande to resign. He was elected corporator from Pimple Nilakh division of Chinchwad assembly constituency. He was kept away from important posts for five years. His resignation is being considered as a challenge for BJP MLA Laxman Jagtap.
