Mumbai: Surrounded by allegations of Rs 100 crore, former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh once again appeared before the Commission of Inquiry on Monday. Deshmukh told the Chandiwal Commission in Mumbai that, “I have never met Sachin Waje, a dismissed Mumbai Police officer. According to ANI, Deshmukh also told the commission that he does not know him (Vaje), even his name.
Earlier on Friday, Deshmukh from the commission had said that, after Sachin Waje was made the head of the crime intelligence unit of Mumbai Police, he had received several complaints about him. Let us tell you that this commission is probing the allegations that former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh made directly on Deshmukh.

According to reports, Deshmukh had said on Saturday in response to a question from the commission, “Waje was suspended for 14-15 years and after his return to service, he was made the head of the CIU, so I used to get many complaints from him.” Generally, when a suspended officer is taken into service again, he is posted in an associate branch. Along with this, Nationalist Congress Party leader Deshmukh also told the commission that many complaints had been received and he could not even name the complainant.

Let us inform that, Deshmukh is currently in judicial custody, he was arrested by the ED in a money laundering case. At the same time, Sachin Waje was arrested by the NIA in connection with the recovery of explosives near Antilia.
Singh, who was removed from the post of Mumbai Police Commissioner in March following the seizure of explosives near Antilia, had alleged that Deshmukh had asked police officials to collect Rs 100 crore per month from bars and restaurants in the city. The Central Bureau of Investigation and the Enforcement Directorate are probing the allegations leveled against Deshmukh by Singh.
