Ahmednagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has arrived on a two-day visit to Maharashtra. On the first day of his visit he attended a program organized by his Ministry of Cooperation in Ahmednagar district. During this, while addressing the people, he strongly attacked the Uddhav Thackeray government of the state. He said that the Mahavikas Aghadi government is not giving bank guarantee to the sugar mills present in the state.
I have come to connect the operative sector
The Union Home Minister said, “How appropriate is it for the state government not to give a guarantee to the director of a sugar factory whose management is not with us politically. I got many calls when I came here. What are you going to do in Maharashtra? That was the question. I became the Minister of Cooperation. He asked me many questions. ,
He said, “I have not come to break the cooperative sector, I have come to connect. But the state government should also ignore politics and look towards cooperation. He also advised not to give financial assistance on the basis of who the director of the factory is and which party he belongs to.”
Who drowned the district banks
On the multi-crore scam in the cooperative banks of Maharashtra, Shah said, “We need to free the cooperative movement from loopholes. There was a time when the district cooperative banks of Maharashtra were looked after, but today only three are left. How did crores of rupees scam happen? Did RBI do this? No RBI did not do this…”
He said, “I have not come to make political remarks… I want to tell the workers of the cooperative movement that the Center is with them. But at the same time we need to enhance competencies, bring in professional students and give them command.”

together will solve the problem
He also made it clear that this time he will save the banks. We will do whatever has to be done to save the banks. Banks will no longer form new committees to save them. Don’t waste time making committees. Many committees were formed, many reports came. The report was cancelled. Nothing was implemented. So there is no need for committee. We will sit with you and understand the problem and solve it. He also clarified that a new cooperation policy would be introduced in the near future.
