On the other hand, due to Omicron in Maharashtra, BMC has issued an order banning New Year’s parties in Mumbai. In which the gathering of people in open or closed places is prohibited. This order has come into effect from 12 o’clock on Friday night. Also, in the guidelines issued by the government, the gathering of more than five people is not allowed in all public places from 9 pm to 6 am. While gyms, spas, hotels, cinema halls will continue to operate at only 50 per cent capacity.
The Gujarat government has extended the night curfew by two hours in eight cities of the state. According to the order issued by the government, the night curfew will be applicable from 1 am to 5 am. In Uttar Pradesh too, the government has decided to impose night curfew from midnight of Christmas. It will be applicable in all cities from 11 pm to 5 am. Talking about Odisha, many rules have been implemented here till January 2. There is a ban on celebrating the new year in the state. Also, on the occasion of Christmas, the entry in the church will also be 50 percent.
It is noteworthy that due to Omicron in Haryana, night curfew will be in force from 11 pm to 5 am on Saturday night. Also the BJP government has limited the maximum number of people for indoor and outdoor events to around 200-300 people. Also, from January 1, those who do not get both doses of the vaccine, have been banned from entering many places including malls, cinema halls.
Night curfew has also been imposed in Rajasthan. It will be applicable here from 11 pm to 5 am. CM Ashok Gehlot has ordered the officers to make vaccination mandatory soon. Sarojini Nagar Market will open on the basis of odd-even after the cognizance of the High Court in the capital Delhi.
