Jaipur: Rain continues in Rajasthan for the last three days. Along with this, most parts of the state recorded a drop of five to six degrees in the maximum temperature on Thursday, leading to a cold winter in the state. Jaipur Meteorological Center Director Radhey Shyam Sharma said that with dense fog covering the capital Jaipur and Ganganagar on Thursday night, the visibility was less than 200 meters.
Moderate fog was recorded in Bikaner, Kota, Churu, Hanumangarh. He said that ‘Orange Alert’ has been issued for Jaipur, Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Nagaur, Churu, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Alwar, Dausa and Bharatpur on Friday. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and hailstorm along with thunder at many places in these districts.

In the last 24 hours, Jaisalmer recorded 16 mm of rain, Hanumangarh’s Sangaria 8.2 mm, Kota 7.2 mm, Sikar seven mm, Vanasthali five mm, Ajmer 4.9 mm, he said. He said that during this period, rain was recorded in the range of one mm to four mm at many other places in the state.
He said that on Thursday night the temperature was 8.2 degree Celsius in Phalodi, 9.2 degree Celsius in Dabok (Udaipur), 10-10 degree Celsius in Bikaner and Jaisalmer, 10.2 degree Celsius in Airanpura Road, 11.2 degree Celsius in capital Jaipur. (agency)
