A month after resigning due to internal disputes in the Punjab Congress, Captain Amarinder Singh has announced the formation of a new party. On Tuesday, he said that he will form a new political party and if the decision is taken in favor of the farmers protesting against the agriculture law, then he will tie up with the BJP in the next assembly elections.
New party will be announced soon
In one tweet after another by Amarinder Singh’s advisor Raveen Thukral, it was said that the Punjab CM will soon announce the formation of a new party. In a tweet from Thukral’s Twitter handle, it was said that the fight for the future of Punjab is on, we will soon announce our political party to protect the interests of the state, its people and farmers who are opposing the agricultural law.
There can be harmony with the broken factions of BJP and Akali Dal
Captain Amarinder Singh said an alliance with the BJP is expected in the assembly elections next year, but it will happen only when the farmers’ agitation ends and the verdict is in their favour. He said that we can also make an agreement with a like-minded party like the split faction from the Akali Dal. He said that there could be an alliance with the Dhindsa and Brahmapura factions of Akali Dal.

Amarinder said – Punjab will have to be protected from both external and internal threats
Amarinder said that he would not rest in peace without serving the interests of Punjab and its people. There is a need for political stability in Punjab. This state needs to be protected from both internal and external threats. He said that he will do whatever needs to be done for peace and security in Punjab. Last month, the Congress high command had asked Captain Amarinder Singh to resign after the growing internal feud in the Punjab Congress reached its peak. With Navjot Singh Sidhu becoming the Congress President, Amarinder was asked to resign. After this, the Congress made Charanjit Singh Channi the new Chief Minister. However, angry with the inclusion of some ministers in the Channi cabinet, Sidhu resigned from the Congress President. Later he agreed to become the president again.
