- Promise to pay salary within 3 days
- 450 employees are dues
Nagpur. Due to non-payment of salary for the last 2 months, despite giving health services at the cost of their lives during the Corona period, there was a shutdown movement by about 450 temporary health workers on Tuesday. Due to the agitation at the primary health centres, the entire administration came under fire due to the creaking system. Even in a hurry, a meeting with the officials of the health workers organization was promised to pay the salary in 3 days.
The president of the organization, Jammu Anand said that many women employees are from rural areas. By staying in rented houses, she is providing services to the residents of the city during the Corona period. But due to non-payment of salary, they are facing tragedy. Despite being well aware of the administration, even lice are not crawling on their ears. This is the reason why the role of the movement had to be taken forcibly.
…then the movement will start again
To draw the attention of the administration, on Monday, all the temporary health workers had expressed prohibition by wearing black tape. Along with this, from the second day itself, there was a warning to stop the work. Despite this, due to lack of attention, a work-off movement was started, as soon as it was realized that a meeting was taken by Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari with the representatives of the union.
Additional commissioner Ram Joshi was also present in this. After the discussion in the meeting, it was decided to give salary and security material. If the assurance was not fulfilled in 3 days, then Anand informed about the start of the movement again. The delegation included Archana Mangrulkar, Dharti Durugwar, Kunda Kohad, Mamta Kavle.
