Nagpur. In view of the increasing speed of corona infection in the city, the Municipal Administration is in a state of shock. It can be gauged from this that suddenly an emergency meeting was called at the headquarters as soon as more than 400 infected people were exposed in a day. In this, all the measures were discussed. Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari gave instructions to the administration to increase testing and vaccination.
During the discussion, Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B. Said that it is necessary to find the people who came in contact with the infected person and get them tested. Apart from the permanent testing center, the Municipal Corporation has 25 mobile testing centers. If the corona infection is to be reduced, then the number of tests will have to be increased for that. After this it was decided to expand the mobile testing center to 75.
Rapid response team will search
Officials believed that the possibility of some people coming in contact with corona infected roaming outside cannot be ruled out, which is also likely to increase corona infection. For this, instructions were given to the administration to increase the number of Rapid Response Teams to search for the people who came in contact with the infected and to take the help of voluntary organizations coming forward to cooperate in this team according to the past.

Soon there will be 15 to 16 thousand tests per day in the city. Now self-testing kits have also become available in drug stores for the test.
7,000 beds available
Officials said that a total of 7,358 beds are available for COVID patients, including 3,003 in municipal and 4,355 in private hospitals. There are 482 ICU beds in government and municipal hospitals and 1,643 ICU beds in private hospitals. Similarly, oxygen has 993 beds in government hospitals and 2407 in private hospitals. The mayor gave instructions to make available the information of vacant beds to the people by preparing a dashboard through smart city.
