Mumbai: Amboli police arrested two people on Saturday. Who had nabbed the actress and her friends during a raid at a hotel in Santa Cruz (West) claiming to be NCB officers and also demanded Rs 20 lakh from them. After that the 28-year-old Bhojpuri actress, a resident of Jogeshwari, committed suicide.

The 28-year-old actress, who worked in Bhojpuri films and lived in a rented house in Jogeshwari (West), police said. He committed suicide at his residence on December 23 after being threatened by the accused. After the death of the actress, her friend informed the police about the whole incident. In this regard, Amboli police itself took cognizance and registered an FIR.

According to the information, the actress recently went to a hotel party with three friends. There both the accused went to him posing as an NCB officer and told him that you will be arrested for taking drugs. The deceased actress and her friends panicked and requested to settle the issue. The accused demanded Rs 40 lakh and finally settled on Rs 20 lakh.
The friend of the deceased actress told the police that she was depressed and under a lot of stress due to not being able to manage such a huge amount. Police said that Asir Qazi, a friend of the actress, who was partying with her, was also a part of the ransom racket.
The accused Suraj Pardeshi (32) and Praveen Walimbe (28) were arrested by the police for pretending to be NCB officers. At the same time, Qazi and other accused have been found, whose search is on. Police said that a case has been registered against the accused under IPC sections 306, 170, 420, 344, 388, 389, 506 and 120 (B).
