Mumbai: Good days have come for the Home Guard jawans in Maharashtra. After the Corona Pandemic, there is news of relief for the Home Guard jawans who are facing financial troubles. Senior Home Guard officers are trying to ensure that every Home Guard jawan gets at least 180 days of duty in a year.
Home Guard officials have written letters to MIDC, Forest Department, Revenue Department, State Excise and ST Mahamandal. For this, a letter is being written to the department where security personnel are required, that if there is a need for security personnel, then the security personnel of the Home Guard can be made available.

Along with this, in the year 2022, almost all the Home Guard jawans of the state have been paid their salaries. The amount of salary given to them is around Rs 314 crore. This amount given as salary to the Home Guard is the biggest ever. Earlier, Rs 185 crore has been given as salary to the home guards.
About 53 thousand jawans working in Home Guard
Maharashtra Home Guard employs about 53,000 personnel, who perform security duties in Mumbai Police, Government Railway Police, every collector’s office in the state and some municipalities. In every district of Maharashtra home guards do duty as security guards, these home guards get money according to their duty.
Get Rs 650 for 10 hours of duty
They get Rs 650 for 10 hours of duty, if the duty hours are more, then overtime is also given. Senior Home Guard officials held a meeting with Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar over the salary of the Home Guard, after which Rs 320 crore was passed for the salary of the Home Guard. Out of these 320 crores, about Rs 314 crores. given as salary.
The jawans working in the Home Guard are given good training so that they can do their duty well. All organizations should keep Home Guard personnel on duty.
