Wardha. Due to the trees obstructing traffic on the road, the graph of accidents had increased significantly, due to increasing complaints of citizens, the Public Works Department launched a campaign on the Nagpur road on Friday, in which 9 giant trees which obstructed the traffic on the route were cut. On the one hand, the drivers have expressed relief from this campaign, while on the other hand some environmentalists were expressing their anger over the cutting of trees.
The cementation of the road from Indira Gandhi Chowk to Dattapur Chowk was completed last year itself. However, environmentalists protested fiercely for the felling of trees, due to increasing traffic on the road for the last few months, there was an increase in accidents, due to increasing complaints of citizens, the trees which were creating obstacles on the road were finally cut.
permission was given to cut trees
The Forest Department had given permission to the Public Works Department to cut 20 trees on the road from Indira Gandhi Chowk to Dattapur Tea Point. They have been saved, but in future, if complaints of citizens are received regarding the above trees, then action will be taken. This information was given by the Public Works Department.
The route shortened from the divider
After the cementation of the route, dividers were inserted from the middle, due to this the trees had come in the middle of the road, due to this, a shabby tree had collapsed in the Nalwadi complex before this, due to the lockdown, there was no one present on the road. Unhappiness was averted as well as the increase in traffic on the route for the last few months had led to an increase in accidents.
necessary for traffic
This tree is very old and huge, it is sad to be broken, a resolution was also passed in this regard, but since a few days the evidence of accidents has increased due to which it was necessary to cut them in view of the traffic on the road. It is necessary to make efforts by the Public Works Department to save as many trees as possible.
