7th Pay Commission: Along with the government employees, the Modi government is going to give big money to the pensioners as well. Department of Pension & Pensioners Welfare informed that Dearness Relief (DR) of Central Government pensioners, family pensioners has been increased from 3% to 34% from January 1, 2022. The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare gave this information through a tweet.

It is written in the official Twitter of DoPPW that the dearness relief to Central Government pensioners, family pensioners has been reduced to 34 percent of basic pension and family pension. Earlier it was 31 per cent. These new rates will be deemed to be applicable from January 1, 2022.

These new rates of DR will be applicable to X employees of these departments i.e. pensioners.
Citizen Central Government pensioners/family pensioners including Central Government. Pensioners of PSUs/Autonomous Bodies in respect of whom orders have been issued vide this Department’s O.M. Order has been issued for
Armed Forces pensioners, civilian pensioners will be paid to the Defense Service.
All India Service Pensioners
Railway Pensioners/Family Pensioners
Pensioners who are drawing provisional pension.
Burma Civil Pensioners/Family Pensioners and Pensioners/Families of Government Pensioners displaced from Burma/Pakistan, in respect of whom orders have been issued vide this Department’s OM No.23/3/2008-P&PW(B) dated 01.09.2017 went. As per the website of the Pensioners Portal, the DR is generally increased twice a year during the months of March and September.
