The number has reached 11,795. An official said on Wednesday that these cases of infection and death came to the fore on Tuesday.
The COVID-19 mortality rate in the district is 1.67 percent. Another official said that in neighboring Palghar district, the cases of COVID-19 have increased to 1,62,200 while the death toll is 3,375.
