- 50 buses launched on Tuesday: 2235 traveled
Bhandara, The longest-running strike in the history of Maharashtra ST is not taking its name to end. The strategy of adopting a soft and sometimes hot attitude against the strikers did not get the response as expected. After which ST adopted the path of new private recruitment. This recruitment has provided new employment opportunities for the unemployed youth. Due to which this recruitment on the opposite element is getting a great response.
According to ST sources, 28 have been recruited so far. Whereas a new 22 appointment will be made on Wednesday. In all, around 50 private drivers will handle the steering of ST buses. On Tuesday, 50 buses were landed on the road. In which a total of 2235 passengers traveled in the bus. Maximum 975 passengers traveled between Bhandara and Nagpur.
68 returned to work
On January 11, 6 employees returned to work in the Bhandara department. Whereas the employees who have returned to work from December 21 till now include 17 drivers, 24 carriers, 1 driver cum carrier, 3 mechanical, 8 clerks, 5 traffic controllers, 1 senior clerk and 1 sweeper. The total number of personnel who have returned to work is 68.
Action continues, 4 were dismissed on Tuesday
Sources in the ST Bhandara department issued that strict action is being taken against the employees who do not return to work. Although suspension, termination of service, transfer action was not taken on Tuesday. But 22 were issued show cause notice regarding dismissal and 4 were dismissed.
As far as the employees who have been victims of strict action so far are concerned. A total of 276 employees have been suspended in the ST Bhandara department so far. Similarly, the service of 86 employees has been terminated. Apart from this, 84 employees have been sent to the workplace at the farthest distance from their present place of work. Show cause notices have been issued to 157 employees as to why they should not be sacked. Now 50 employees have been fired so far.
50 buses left
The number of ST buses plying on the road is also increasing. A total of 111 bus ferries took place on Tuesday. This included a total of 111 ferries of 2 Hirkani and 49 Sadhi buses. Through these ferries, services were provided to the passengers on Nagpur, Pawani, Gondia, Sakoli, Tumsar routes from Bhandara.
Sources in the Bhandara department said that a total of 2235 passengers traveled in the bus on Tuesday. Maximum 975 passengers traveled between Bhandara and Nagpur.
