Amravati. State Transport Corporation has sacked 6 more striking employees of Amravati depot. Under this action, starting from December 28, a total of 68 employees have been dismissed for the last five days.
loss of crores of rupees
The state government is trying its best to end this strike that has been going on for more than one and a half months. ST service was already closed for several months due to Corona, due to which the State Transport Corporation has lost crores of rupees and now ST is suffering financial loss due to the strike.
Similarly, students of rural areas as well as general passengers are facing problems due to the closure of ST. That is why the state government is waiting for the ST workers to end their strike. But ST workers are still on strike. Unless STs are merged with the state government, they will not withdraw this strike, this is the role of the workers.
adamant on demands
Rapani employees are on strike for more than one and a half months. Every effort is being made to get these employees to leave the strike and return to work. But the workers are adamant on the role of strike. This is affecting the State Transport Corporation as well as the general public.
As a result of this, now the action of dismissal of service has been started on the agitators. On January 1, 6 employees have been fired for dismissal. It consists of 3 drivers, 2 carriers and 1 technical staff. So far 68 employees have been sacked.-Srikant Gabhane, Department Controller State Transport Corporation
Fight for survival of personnel
The demand for merger of ST with the state government is of all ST workers. This is a fight for the survival of the employees. Therefore, whatever action the state government takes, the employees will not back down from the strike. The state government should include ST employees in the state government without wasting any time.- Satish Kadu, ST employee
