Nagpur. A person threatened to kill Praful Gadge, the operator of Vatsalya Group, over a land dispute. The caller called himself a Mumbai criminal and also demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore. It is to be known that in September last year, a case was registered against thug builder Gopal Kondawar at Dhantoli police station on the complaint of Gadge. Kondawar and his accomplices had taken Rs 2.45 crore with Gadge by making a deal of 12 acres of land located in Mauja Kanoli. Later the same land was sold to another person. Gadge complained to the police and Kondawar was also arrested in this case.
Currently, Kondawar is in jail in judicial custody. On February 8, a person named Saurabh Dwivedi called Gadge. Threatened him about the complaint given against Kondawar. Asked to be ready to face bad consequences if the case is not withdrawn. Gadge complained to the Bajajnagar police in this regard.
On the second day again Saurabh called him and threatened him. After this no call came but on Monday evening again the accused called Gadge. Along with withdrawing the complaint against Kondawar, a ransom of Rs 5 crore was demanded. Asked to arrange the amount immediately. Gadge and threatened to kill his family if the money was not received.
Gadge complained about the matter to the top officials. CP Amitesh Kumar instructed DCP Crime to investigate and register a case. Till late night, FIR was being registered at Bajajnagar police station. Police is tracing Saurabh Dwivedi on the basis of his phone number.
