Akola. District Superintendent of Police G.Sridhar, who has cracked down on criminals in the last two years, has completed the construction of 373 houses for police officers and employees. Similarly, in the new year, we have resolved to give a safe environment to the common man by cracking down on crime. District Superintendent of Police G.Sridhar said that the new building of the Superintendent of Police’s office is ready at Kushti Nagar Chowk. The office of the superintendent of police will be shifted there in one to one and a half months.
The cost of this building is around Rs 50 crore. Similarly, 373 police houses are ready in Saksham Nagar. Of these, 73 houses are for police officers and 330 are for police personnel. Police Inspector and Police Sub-Inspector will live in this building. He said that elections to the Municipality and Municipality are likely to be held in the district at the beginning of the year. Under this, police is being deployed. Preparations are underway to face Corona and Omicron.

In response to a question, Superintendent of Police G.Sridhar said that there is a shortage of about 475 policemen in the district. This is affecting the law and order situation. He said that in 2019-20 and 2021, the police department did not recruit due to corona virus. That’s why there is a shortage of police in the police force. The police department has to do other work while maintaining law and order. He said that since it is the nectar festival year of independence, positive activities will be implemented in the new year.
