In view of the threat of the third wave of MNP, as per the guidelines of the Central and State Government, now the campaign to give booster dose to health workers, frontline workers and 60 plus comorbid people was started from Monday. On the very first day, a total of 2,076 people benefited from different centers. The foster minister Nitin Raut took a booster dose of the vaccine at Panchpavli Sutika home under Asinagar zone. He said that a booster dose is needed to keep safe from the corona epidemic. He also appealed to the eligible people to take booster doses as per the instructions of the Health Department of the Central Government. Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari, District Magistrate Vimla R., Addl. Commissioners Deepakkumar Meena, Ram Joshi, Sanjay Chilkar, Abhijit Baviskar, Dr. Vijay Joshi, Dr. Govardhan Navkhare were present.
Vaccination at 148 centers
On behalf of the Municipal Corporation, arrangements have been made to give Kovidshield vaccine at 119 permanent centers. At the same time, there is also a system of giving dose of Covaccine at 29 permanent vaccination centers. On the very first day, a total of 148 centers saw a queue of people taking booster doses. Only those people who have taken the second dose of the vaccine 9 months ago are being given a booster dose. The process of giving the first and second doses of Kovidshield to all the people of the age group of 18 plus is also being completed at the vaccine centers earmarked for Kovidshield. In addition to booster doses, the process of giving first and second doses to adolescents aged 15 to 18 years is going on at 28 centers earmarked for Covaccine.

The vaccination campaign was started in the Indira Gandhi Hospital of Municipal Corporation. Where there was a huge crowd of teenagers in the age group of 15 to 18 years, it was decided to start a vaccination center in the auditorium of the Gandhian Thought Department of Nagpur University located in front of the hospital. The auditorium was provided by the university. It is noteworthy that it is necessary to register online for the booster dose. Whereas those above 15 plus age can be registered for the vaccine through offline method in addition to online.
