A total of 61 candidates from 13 divisions had filed nominations for Pombhurna Municipal Panchayat elections. Among them, on Monday, all 61 candidates are in the fray for the election as none of them took back their nominations.
7 nominations are behind in Sindewahi and 66 are in the fray
In the election of Sindewahi-Lonwahi Nagar Panchayat, 73 candidates had entered. A total of 66 candidates are standing in the fray for 14 divisions as 7 candidates withdrew nomination applications on Monday, the last day to withdraw their candidature.
There are total 17 divisions in Sindewahi-Lonwahi Nagar Panchayat. Due to the postponement of the OBC reservation decision, the selection of the reserved division numbers 9, 10, 17 for the OBC category has been postponed. Therefore, elections will be held only in 14 divisions. During Monday, 7 candidates have withdrawn their candidature applications. Now with a total of 66 candidates in the fray, the picture of the election being more struggle is visible.
