Yevala: Municipal chief officer and administrator Sangeeta Nandurkar said that under the ‘Majhi Vasundhara’ campaign, 16,800 trees will be planted in Yevala from February 10 to 23. Plantation campaign has been planned in all the wards of the city and officers and employees of Municipal Corporation have been appointed as Controlling Officers.
The municipal administration has appealed to all citizens, women boards, teachers and non-teaching staff, presidents of Ganpati and other mandals, environmentalists, environmental workers, sanitation workers, socio-political workers, corporators, trade unions to cooperate in this.

The entire staff of the Municipal Council will provide necessary support to the wards for plantation of trees to maintain the health of the city and reduce pollution in the environment. Under this campaign, training is being given for making home gardens and fertilizers. The municipal administration has appealed to help make the city green, beautiful, prosperous and pollution free by participating in the ‘Majhi Vasundhara’ campaign.
