Amravati, Approval has been given to set up 14 new health centers across the district along with Dharani and Chikhaldara tehsils of Melghat, which are facing shortage of health equipment. Along with this, 21 sub-centres will also be prepared. According to the Zip Health Department, out of 14 health centers and sub-centres, 8 health centers have been approved in the Melghat campus. Whereas approval has been given to set up 13 new sub-centres in Dharani tehsil. Apart from this, 6 health centers and 8 sub-centres will be set up at other places in the district.
At present there are 64 health centers, 283 sub-centres in the district.
Health services are being increased at the primary level with the aim of providing better health services to the people living in rural areas of the district and providing better treatment in cases of maternal death, child death and malnutrition as well as sudden fever. More emphasis is being given especially in Dharani and Chikhaldara tehsils.
According to the order given by the Health Department of the State Government to the Zip Health Department, after Dharani and Chikhaldara, there is information about building two health centers in Warud tehsil, 2 in Tivasa, 1-1 health centers in Anjangaon Surji and Chandur railways. Apart from this, 21 sub-centres are being set up in all the 14 tehsils.
At present, there are 64 health centers in the district, while there are 283 sub-centres. As soon as the new centers are started, the total number of health centers will increase to 78. While the number of sub-centres will be 304. Information has also been received to increase the annual grant given by the state government to Amravati Health Department by 25 percent.
Recruitment will be done on 189 vacant posts
According to the orders issued by the State Health Department, 189 posts are currently vacant under the Health Department in Dharani, Chikhaldara and Warud tehsils of Amravati district. All these posts will be filled on contract basis. For this, it is being said that the information will be released soon.
