Nagpur. Action has now been intensified against the defaulters and those who steal electricity from Mahavitaran. The high officials themselves have also entered the field and are requesting the defaulting customers to deposit the electricity bill by communicating directly with them. On Tuesday, action was taken to recover the bills from the defaulters in many areas of the city. During the campaign itself, 14 electricity thieves were also caught in the investigation, against whom action was taken as per rules. At the same time, strict action was also taken to cut off the electricity of 35 customers who did not pay the bills.
Regional Director Suhas Rangari and Nagpur Circle Chief Engineer Dilip Dodke are themselves communicating with the customers, which has also boosted the morale of the other officers and employees of the company. During the campaign, 27 defaulters saved themselves from action by depositing Rs 9.10 lakh. In the campaign run in Binaki subdivision, 12 customers deposited outstanding bills of Rs 1.18 lakh. During the investigation in this area, 14 places of electricity theft were revealed, against whom action was taken.

Rangari and Dodke personally went to Shivajinagar, Sirspeth, Model Mill Chowk, Mangalwari, Babulvan, Hivarinagar etc. and interacted with the customers and appealed to them to deposit the outstanding bills. He said that Mahavitaran is committed to provide regular, unbroken and quality service to its customers, but unless the customers pay their bills, it will not be possible.
