Pune: Amidst all the apprehensions, the Maharashtra Board’s 10th and 12th examinations (10th and 12th Exams) will be offline only. That is, students will have to go to school and give examinations. The 12th written examination for the academic year 2021-22 will be held from March 4 to March 30, while the 10th examination will be held from March 15 to April 4, while the practical examination will be held in two phases.
This was announced by Sharad Gosavi, Chairman, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. The board took this decision after consultation with the headmasters and subject experts.

Gosavi said that for the convenience of the students, this time an additional time of 15 minutes will be given for the examination of 40 to 60 marks, and half an hour more time will be given for the examination of 70 to 100 marks. This year the morning session exam will start at 10.30 am. While the afternoon session exam will start at 2.50 pm. According to Gosavi, this time four times more centers have been earmarked than every year to maintain social distancing. Due to Corona, there will be a seating arrangement for only 25 students in a class. This time 16 lakh 25 thousand 311 applications have been made for 10th examination, then 14 lakh 72 thousand 562 applications have been received for 12th.
Written Exam on 75% Syllabus
Sharad Gosavi said that the written examination will be based on 75 percent syllabus. The course has been reduced by 25%. Students will have time to read and teachers will have time to teach. Practical exam will be based on at least 40 percent syllabus. Internal and external examiners will be from the respective schools only.
Practical examinations will be held in two phases
This time the practical examinations will be held in two phases. The oral and practical examination of class 12 will be held from February 14 to March 3. Interruptions due to corona and other reasons can be conducted from March 31 to April 18, while the practical and oral examination of 10th will be held from February 25 to March 3. Dates from April 5 to April 22 have been kept in reserve. This has also been clarified by the board.
