Nagpur. Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) team of Crime Branch caught 107 kg of ganja being smuggled in a car from Andhra Pradesh to Delhi. On the basis of confidential information, the police searched the car by laying a trap on the Jabalpur highway. On checking, the goods were recovered. Police arrested 2 accused. The arrested accused include Bhura Nanhe Malik (28) and Vikaskumar Jaiprakash Singh (27), residents of Jahangirpuri, Delhi.
Police had received information that some people from Visakhapatnam are going to Delhi after smuggling ganja in a white colored car. The accused are on their way to Nagpur. Based on the news, a trap was laid on Jabalpur Highway Outer Ring Road under the leadership of Inspector Manoj Sidam. The police had already got the number of the car. The police stopped the suspicious car and searched it.
At first nothing was found but on closer examination a separate panel was prepared behind the seat. When the police opened the panel, sacks of ganja were visible. On weighing, 107 kg of ganja worth Rs 16.10 lakh was recovered. A total of Rs 20.21 lakh including mobile and car were seized from the accused. According to the police, both the accused are only pawns. His masters do ganja business in Delhi.
The car had to be left in Gwalior
Both were told to bring a car from Visakhapatnam. There was someone to call him near Gwalior. The car was to be handed over to him and returned to Jahangirpuri. However, the police do not believe the words of the accused. Even before this, Beltarodi police had caught ganja going from Visakhapatnam to Delhi but could not get to the bottom of the matter. Neither the sender of the goods nor the buyer of the goods got to know anything.
