Apart from Earth, volcanoes exist on other planets in the Solar System and also on their moons.

Looking at the volcano present on Earth, it seems that this is only on our planet. But this is not the case at all, apart from our planet, there are volcanoes on other planets in the solar system from which rivers of lava flow. Let us know about 10 such volcanoes in the solar system.

Evidence has been found of the presence of cryogizars (which emit steam instead of lava) on Jupiter’s moon Europa. In 2012, the Hubble Space Telescope saw steam coming out of Europa’s South Pole. It is believed that due to the cold surface and atmosphere of Europa, the ice present here is rising up in the form of steam. The telescope also pointed out that this steam is rising up to 124 miles.

In March 2006, the Cassini spacecraft gave information about Saturn’s small moon Enceladus in the solar system emitting steam. This increased the possibility that there is a presence of fluids like water on this moon. When the spacecraft moved forward, it found evidence of carbon dioxide, ammonia, methane, and other complex hydrocarbons emanating from a cryogizar.

Mount Etna volcano in Italy is an active volcano, in which eruptions occur on the coming day. Due to radioactive activities occurring within the volcano, its pressure builds up and explodes. After the recent explosion, large amounts of lava were seen coming out of it.

Ceres is an asteroid present in the Solar System, located between Mars and Jupiter. In 2015, NASA’s Dawn Spacecraft identified a 17-km-long mountain on it, named it Ahuna Mons. Evidence of lava coming out from within this mountain was found. Scientists found that rocky metals were coming out of it, hence the mud volcano was considered.

When NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft reached Pluto in 2015, it saw signs of volcanoes near the Kupier belt. It was named ‘Right Mons’ and it was said that it must have been active at one time in the history of Pluto. Its lava contains water, ammonia, and a colored component, which is considered a complex organic material.

An altitude mountainous region was found on another moon Titan of Saturn, which is believed to have been prepared due to volcanoes. It was named ‘Doom Mons’. Wind, rain and snow particles made of liquid methane and ethane keep falling on ‘Doom Mons’. In such a situation, the shape of this volcano keeps changing.

Jupiter has about 400 active volcanoes on the planet’s Ioh Moon, making it the most dangerous place in the solar system. Among these volcanoes, the Loki volcano on the Ioh Moon is the largest. It is 200 kilometers wide and continuously explodes in it.

Marius Hills is the largest volcanic plain on the Earth’s moon, 500 meters deep pits are present here. There is a Marial Hills hole in this area, which is 80 meters wide. Regarding this, scientists believe that there must have been an ancient lava tube. However, it is no longer active, but there are many places on the lunar surface, where volcanoes would have been active millions of years ago.

On Mars is Olympus Mons, which is the largest volcano in the solar system. Olympus Mons grew through magma and became so big. For billions of years, lava flowed from a single spot in Olympus Mons.

‘Mat Mons’ is present on the surface of Venus, which has its targets on the surface of the planet. The lava emanating from it is 75 million years old. In the 1980s, the presence of methane and sulfur was discovered due to these volcanoes on the surface of Venus.
