Domestic stock markets BSE and NSE will remain closed today on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. There will also be no trading in the forex market and commodity market. Both BSE and NSE will now resume trading on Monday, September 13. However, trading will start in the commodity market after 5 pm. Multi Commodity Exchange and National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange will remain closed till 5 pm today. After 5 pm, trading will start here and in the evening deals can be taken in the contract. There will be business till 11:30/11:50 pm.

On September 9, the last trading day of this week, the domestic market remained volatile throughout the day. However, Sensex and Nifty closed with gains at the close of trading. A trading day earlier on September 9, the Sensex closed at 58,305.07 with a gain of 54.81 points and the Nifty gained 15.75 points at 17,369.25. Banking stocks were mixed on the Sensex, while the index of all other sectors except Nifty’s Bank, Financial Services, Pharma, Private Bank and Realty edged up. The highest rise of 2.97 percent was in Nifty Media, while Nifty Realty was the biggest loser of 0.74 percent.

17 stocks on Sensex and 30 stocks on Nifty have strengthened. Airtel prices have strengthened more than 2.5 percent today. The most buying on the BSE Sensex was in the shares of Bharti Airtel followed by Nestle India and Tata Steel. Talking about selling, Titan, UltraTech Cement and Bajaj Auto were the top sellers on the Sensex. ONGC, Bharti Airtel and Nestle India closed with the most gains on the Nifty at the close of trading a trading day ago, while SBI Life, HDFC Life and Titan were the biggest losers.
