Water demand has increased
In the last six-seven years, the population within the municipal limits has increased and the demand for water has increased. DP, non-DP, roads, buildings, colonies saw a huge increase in horizontal-vertical. Therefore, in addition to the DPR, the work of new pipeline has to be done as per the existing conditions. For this the necessary water supply system has also been increased. The aqueduct will be too deep when the actual aqueduct is put in, there will be frequent complaints of impure water or water leaking from the existing aqueduct, the aqueducts are also being replaced at the actual site. Apart from this, development works like BRTS road, laying of drainage pipeline, smart city etc. are being done through various departments in the city. There is also a loss in this work. All these factors have led to an increase in the number of pipes, the number of control valves and other materials.
13.34 crore was increased by Rs.
The accepted tender is as per the budget of 2015-16. The price difference is not applicable in the tender. Therefore, according to the tender terms and conditions, the existing bills of the contractor will have to be paid according to the new fixed rate i.e. 2019-20, 2020-21 and CSR rates. SCADA tender process is going on. Because, the contractor has not been decided yet, so the estimated amount of tender is Rs 10 crore 40 lakh. Therefore, according to the tender in the first and second phase, an additional expenditure of Rs 11 crore 53 lakh will be incurred in completing the remaining works. As a result, the total expenditure has reached to 255 crore 57 lakh. Earlier in February 2021, an increase of Rs 13.34 crore was made for this project. The project cost has been increased again throughout the year.
