Chhattisgarh Budget: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday announced the restoration of the old pension scheme (CM Bhupesh Baghel) in the state. Presenting the budget for the financial year 2022-23, the Chief Minister said that in order to get back their social and economic security to the officers/employees of the state, the old pension scheme is restored instead of the new pension scheme. Bhupesh Baghel said that the employees appointed in 2004 and after will now get benefits under the old pension scheme. With this, Chhattisgarh has become the second state after Rajasthan, which has decided to implement the old pension scheme.

The Chief Minister announced to increase the amount of ‘Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Krishi Bhumiless Mazdoor Nyay Yojana’ from 6000 to 7000 thousand.
A provision of 200 crores has been made for the Chirag project for nutritional security, value addition of agricultural produce and improving the economic condition of farmers in 25 development blocks of 14 districts with backward areas.
