Lakhandur, Under the regional water supply scheme, the power supply of the Jalpurti scheme has been stopped due to non-payment of dues and regular electricity bills for the last few years, due to the scheme to supply water to thousands of families of 4 villages. Due to the above action being taken by the electricity company in the last 8 days, the villagers are alleging that there is a problem of drinking water in 3 villages including Mandhal of Tehsil for 8 days.
Jalpurti to 4 villages under Jalpurti scheme
Under the government’s regional water supply scheme, drinking water is being supplied to 4 villages like Gunjepar, Kihi and Dholsar etc., including local Mandhal in Mandhal of East Tehsil. Thousands of beneficiary families of the area of the said water supply this scheme are aware of being done under the tap scheme.
Water tax arrears of Rs 20.18 lakh
Under the Regional Jalpurti Yojna located in Mandal of Tehsil, information has been given that a total water tax of Rs 20.18 lakh is due on the beneficiary families of total 4 villages of this scheme.
However, the above arrears of tax includes the arrears and regular tax from the previous years. Meanwhile, a total of Rs 11.09 lakh tax arrears have been given under the outstanding water tax for the last few years. Whereas under regular water tax, the tax arrears of Rs 10.87 lakh have been given.
Dholsar tops in water tax payment
Under the regional water supply scheme of Mandhal, water supply is being done to 4 villages like Gunjepar, Kishi and Dholsar, including local Mandhal. Meanwhile, Dholsar has topped the tax payment under this scheme due to the regular water tax being paid by the residents of Dholsar under the said scheme.
In the last few years, a total of Rs 3.13 lakh has been paid out of the total water tax of Rs 3.79 lakh of the arrears and regular water tax. Due to the above payment being more than the remaining 3 villages of this scheme, information has been given to be the topper.
Pay Water Tax – Murkute
Under the regional water supply scheme, due to non-payment of dues and regular water tax by the beneficiary families, various problems are being faced in the payment of electricity bill. Due to which the power was cut off by the power company of Jalpurti scheme.
In this situation, water from agricultural pumps including borewells, private wells is being used for drinking the beneficiary families of 4 villages of this scheme.
Meanwhile, for the regular start of the said scheme, the payment of electricity bill is mandatory, the villagers of 4 villages need to pay the arrears and regular water tax immediately, Ganesh Murkute, Deputy Sarpanch of Mandhal Village has given information.
